Hermann Köhl - FA 41

Hello,

I am looking for more information about the WW1 military career
of Dr.Ing. Hermann KÖHL, who served in 1914-1915 with FA 41, and finished the war with the rank of Hauptmann

Thanks and regards,

Cnock

Hptm. Hermann Köhl

Eddy, I have a fairly decent service record for him, which probably came from one of Neal O'Connor's books. I didn't make notes as to his promotion dates:

FFA 41_____________ 28Sep14 - 26Aug16
KG 4/22 C.O. _______ 26Aug16 - 15Dec16 WIA,sv.

Köhl

Hermann Köhl was originally a Royal Württemberg Pionier-Offizier who entered Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 13 as a Fahnenjunker on the 1st of July 1909. He was commissioned as a Leutnant on the 16th of November 1910 with a Patent of seniority of 20.11.08.

Promotions:

Fähnrich: 25.2.10 (Patent of 19.2.10)
Leutnant: 16.11.10 (20.11.08 Ff)
Oberleutnant: 22.3.15 V45v
Hauptmann: 22.3.18 Oo

His Hauptmann's Patent was modified to 22.3.18 (6) as a Reichsheer officer.

His entry and Leutnant's date are incorrect in Biblio Verlag's OPLM book volume 2.

The reason I didn't put this on the Forum is that I feel too many people are thinking I'm a "know-it-all".
Well Rick, the reason I am reluctant to post here less than most places is the all too often lack of a response or a simple thank you!

Glenn, I had planned on sending this as a PM, but obviously I goofed. Then I edited my original "message", but too late. Oh well, guess now everyone thinks I am a know-it-all. That'll teach me to respond without my eyes in Thanks for the promotion dates. R.

Of course we all KNOW you are a know it all - why else do we all address so many questions to you?

The know-it-all forgot to mention:

Köhl followed Menckhoff's trace one week later and started his 1 week-lasting successful escape from his French POW-camp Montoire on 9.9.19.

An embarassing double defeat of the French army and police.

Do I hear any thank you?
