Osprey's Pfalz Aces
I finally obtained my copy of Pfalz Scout Aces of World War 1 yesterday and it is wonderful! I congratulate Greg VW on yet another fine job. I admire his writing style and especially the way he mixes in contemporary accounts of the pilots along with the facts he is presenting. However, for you modellers out there, the color profiles and three-views are absolutely first class and will provide you with many new paint schemes to ponder. It's great !!!!! R.

Pfalz Scout Aces.
I fully agree with Rick. I've got mine two days ago, and I started to read right away. I always loved the Pfalz D III planes, so I was quite curious. The 32 paintings of the planes and the profiles are great. I also loved the stories of the pilots and the photo's.
I'm looking forward to the next one: Early German Aces of WW1.

Bought my copy today while we were on a family outing. Got to sit in the car and have a read while the fam was off getting food. Great book. Love the profiles.

Got my copy Saturday. WOW! Greg really swatted this one outta the park (for those not conversant with US basebally slang, thats a really good thing).
Now, I gotta find some wine/burgandy paint.

Yes, von der Marwitz' burgandy bird is great, along with a Raben Pfalz, snakes, swords, and ....
I haven't read it all yet Greg, but still easily my favorite of the Osprey books, lots of stuff I've never read before, fascinating reminiscences of pilots on both sides, and great photos.
