In Progress: Bruno Loerzers' Albatros D.V. by Eduard

Hello everyone!
I'm new member of community of this forum and almost quite new to WW1 modelling. Till now I've builded only one WW1 plane - Fokker D.VII by Eduard and now I'm builbing my second one. I chose the famous Bruno Lorzer's b/w Albatros D.V. as well by Eduard in 1/48. Here you can see my progress.
Please feel free to comment, and thanks to all for this great forum!

Very nice sir! Welcome to our little corner of the "Drome." One suggestion might be to lightly "dry brush" a lighter wood colour over the surface you have now. It will help the viewer see into the cockpit when it is closed up. Otherwise some of your details might be lost. Just a suggestion.

Welcome to the Aerodrome Mindphaser. Impressive modeling, very clean and dirty at the same time. Nice choice of markings too.

It was my first attempt to imitate wood in my life. I hope the next wood surface will be better according to my ideas. Thanks for your suggestion.

Actually that is a beautiful job on the wood finish... they were just suggesting that it would show off the details better that you put so much work into if it were a tiny bit lighter in color.

Good work!

Hi!
Great work on the Albatros! Good colors and shading.
I also a new member and posted my Albator last week. I was also interested in doing Loerzers Albatros, but I think I will go for his Fokker DVII instead
Looking forward to see your progress, so far it looks relly nice!

Best regards / Toni

Thumbs up Well chop my hands off!

Well, Mind Phaser, I can only think of one thing to do now, after seeing your beautiful Albatros, and that's to Phaser my hands off so I don't build another crappy kit, comparatively speaking. I step down and bow my head. Backing slowly out of the model building room with my stubbed limbs.

Very nice, please keep posting your build as you come along.
