Rememberance Of A B.E. 2c Crew

Looking for references on the Fokker DI, which I am contemplating as a future scratch-build project, I found this very interesting article, titled "Lieutenant Burleigh's Last Flight", and in a place you would hardly expect to find detailed accounts of Great War aerial operations, the journal of the Newcastle Literary and Philosophical Society. I think you will enjoy reading it....

An interesting post. Thank you for sharing it. It makes one wonder how many other anecdotes of the Great War are buried in the most improbable places!

Old Man- Peter Grosz wrote a Windsock Datafile: Classics of WW1 Aviation, Fokker Fighters D.I-D.IV. It should still be available from Wise Owl Magazines. It contains two color profiles of D.Is, drawings and photographs.
