German Impressions of British Colors

Bland chocolate brown and olive green planes for the British and gaudy multi-colored planes for Germany and friends. Are there any accounts of what the typical Jastanese thought of the bright-colored challenged schemes of their British counterparts? Or British of German? I know Mannock once said, "a beautifully coloured insect he was – red, blue, green and yellow."
