Hi All,

I'm a new participant to the forum and I'm happy to have found it. Being an enthusiast of the more unusual and forgotten aspects of aeronautical history, I am keen on getting more information on several obscure WW I-era designs.
Presently, I'm trying to find a three-view drawing of the Porte Baby/Bristol Scout C Composite. Photos of this early pick-a-back aircraft have appeared several times over the years, but never a good set of plans. Also, is anyone aware of a good book or article that covers all of John Porte's designs?

Regards,

Jared Zichek

I always thought that the Porte Baby was a flying boat, and the Bristol Scout C was a land-based scout. I've never seen them mentioned together like that.

John,

You are right on both counts, but the composite did indeed exist. A couple of photos of it has been most recently published in Mistel by Classic Publications, p. 17.
