New Fokker Decal, and getting jiggie
Just got the Japanese Lifelike Decal 48-012, and it is well worth getting! Here's a link to the four topics: http://www16.ocn.ne.jp/~lifelike/012.htm - as far as I know, it's available from Flightdecs in Canada and Hobbylink Japan. The decal itself is printed by Microscale so it is comparable to other US source decals in quality. I got it for the Jasta 19 dragon, but it is surprisingly valuable for the Buchner werewolf. Yes, I know that's already in the Eduard kit, but this rendition is far more detailed and the green used for the background and checkers is a true green that should be easy to match for the cowling (the Eduard decal green is rather yellowish).
Sometime back I posted a wish that someone would come up with a multipurpose jig for building biplanes. Well, someone has: John Adams of Aeroclub in the UK: http://www.network54.com/Forum/14967...+Universal+Jig
No idea on price (Leggo blocks probably still cheaper) but as useful gadgets go, this looks interesting...

Dragons in the flesh
Ross - yes, I have the sheet. I haven't used it yet (still working up the kit) but the decals are printed by Microscale and are indistinguishable from the quality you'd get from Eagle Strike, Scalemaster, etc. So I don't exect any difficulty with thinness, application, etc. BTW, there is a second sheet in the set to cover the various insignia sizes and styles for the featured aircraft, and they through in some decent instrument faces, 'lift here' markings, a weight table, and generic serials for struts.
