New WWI Document descriptions

Thanks to the very patient instructions from Sanjeev Hirve, I have "finally" managed to understand a little bit more about updating my website captions and descriptions. It took me the better part of a day to finally put captions and descriptions on a small amount of illustrated, signed original, early aviation documents, I have only started on the documents page. Hope to get to captions and descriptions of the signed photographs page, next. Up until now, there have only been unidentified images on those web pages. I realize, and appreciate that only one out of a thousand viewers might be interested in acquiring some of these. But I think the descriptions will greatly help just about any viewer to enjoy them-finally knowing what the item is , and the aviation role of the signers. Please feel free to contact me with feedback and suggest any improvements or other WWI items types you would like to see on the site. There are some rare WWI items there.

Thanks a bunch Vince. Without my Dad's influence, there would not be ONE item on those web pages! One of his first jobs was repairing all the sewing machines in a lingerie factory-just him and 400 women!After crash landing into jungles wiith surplus WWII troop planes loaded with small bulldozers and special pumps he made..He pumped diamonds from the bottoms of South American waterfalls and packed them out on mules; started his own airline, scratch-built 200 pretty good race/sports cars and boats, many of which won major awards, races, or set world speed records; STILL got arrested for fighting in his Seventies!; built one of the first EVER Cobalt machines for Cancer treatment (under direction of flying Doctor friend from Sloan_Kettering-Which SAVED his OWN life another 20 years after fatal diagnosis.) and let me be his apprentice for some 20 years..Most unpretentious man you ever met. Uniform of the day was green mechanics work pants and a flannel shirt with about a dozen holes from welding sparks, with buttonless shirt cuffs wrapped closed by masking tape..(my wife called us "Sanford & Son") He was unique..

Pretty amazing CV he had, Joe. Reminds me a bit of my old man: he built everything from kayaks to large yachts, furniture for the house which he designed and built, ran a machine shop, worked in large scale concrete design, was an accomplished sculptor etc., etc. Pretty hard to live up to that kind of creativity.
