I still have opened pots of acrylic paints from several years ago that are still good. As long as they are sealed properly.
Just check if they are not completely hardened. Sometimes it's just the top layer that has dried out. Other times the paint has just settled a little or has thickened. In that case just stir them up and/or add a little thinner/water to thin them down to the desired thickness.

If they are dried up and hard, then throw them out and get a new ones

I hope that helps and good luck on your projects,

Rick

A little bit of help

I love the Model Master acrylics, easy to work with and no harsh fumes. And look really good too.

I wrote Testors about a year ago, asking them about their Model Masters paints. Here is the response.

Hello Gregory,

Thank you for your inquiry. If you are asking about the long-term
durability of acrylic vs. enamel then that is not really a question that
can be answered completely. While theoretically the enamels and acrylics
should wear very similar we unfortunately do not have any long term data
that we can utilize to compare the two. Enamels have been in use for
over 50 years while our acrylics are comparatively newer by 30 plus
years.

In all both paints have shown to last well over 10 years on plastic
models in normal use.

I hope that this information helps. If you have any additional
questions please let me know.
