Albatrosen in New Zealand?

A few issues back in Windsock, there was a slight mention of Albatrosen being built by Peter Jackson. Any further word on this? If so, what type of powerplant will they use?

Lesseee -

They've got four(?) Dr.Is down there, a comparable number of SE5s under construction, at least one each AVRO, Biff, Camel, Halbie, DH2, DH5, BE2 and Pfalz - and now a flock of Alberts???

Not to mention Langdon's forthcoming D.VIII across the way in Australia.

Do I have this right?

When's the field trip?

Hey, mention of all these planes being made suddenly reminded me of the boom of Chinese Junks strung across the river in the classic movie Sand Pebbles!

(at this build rate we'll be able to walk across the ocean to pay them a visit )

NZ Reproductions

There are three S.E.5a reproductions being built to fly and one non-flying one. A Bristol F2B is being restored as well as the B.E.2e.

A reference to the opening scenes of King Kong by Mr. Jackson ?

In which 3 Albatros fighters are going straight down....

Best from Johan
