Albatros D.V / D.Va arrival and departure from the front …
Hello all!
I´m interested in the following data: when exactly (month and year) were the ALBATROS D.V / D.Va first used in frontline units and when left the last machines of this type the units for further use in flying schools or just for the scrap yard? OK, there was a constant lack of all kind of aircraft in the German Air Service and so I´m sure that still several dozen (or hundreds?) of the D.V and D.Va were still in service by November 1918. But were these "veterans" still in regular use, due a lack of fuel and spare parts? The mechanics and pilots probably would have concentrated all their efforts on the better Fokker D.VII. Thanks in advance for your help!
