Unhappy Rotec radial engine info

As promised, I have written an interview with Rotec Engineering, manufacturers of the 110hp (and soon to be built) 150hp radial engines. I have no affiliation with the company at all - I just think the engines have great potential for replica and homebuilders everywhere who need or appreciate a round engine. There is the added bonus that they look and sound fantastic!

Hopefully the attached article answers a lot of your questions. There is also a website and you can always contact Jim or the guys at Rotec directly. I have also got a copy of the R2800 manual's index. It should give you an idea of what's in it.

My non-technical suggestion is - the R2800 is a good replacement for the 80-110hp+ rotaries as it swings a big prop at low RPM. The R3600 is a good alternative for the Warner Scarab powered replicas. If in doubt - talk to Rotec about your project, they can advise you on every aspect of the engine and its uses.

The files are too large to attach - I'll try to fix it, in the mean time PM me and I will email you a copy!

If you would like the originals in PDF format - I'm happy to oblige. Please don't use the articles without acknowledging the author.

Thanks Brinesharks,

The Rotec is the favoured engine for my Dr-1, probably the 150hp. I will be contacting Rotec for engine mounting details and dimensions in due course.
