Americal Grifon Decals for Js 5

Gentlemen,
Yesterday I received my long awaited Js 5 decals. They had been on order for long enough for me to forget how long. Dr. Merrill has been most polite and apoligetic about the delay so it is possible that I have some of the first.
My first impression can be summed up with a simple, WOW! They are gorgeous! The color saturation is strong and the registration is spot on (with the exception of the green tail surfaces, which have some bleeding at the edges, and that is of no consequence as they will be trimmed off anyway when applied.)
One gets a multitude of choices of intricate markings that the less artistic of us would never attempt on our own. A complete madman could render nearly the whole Jasta over most of it's history. Hmmmm.
The instructions are rudementary and one is referred to the Albatros productions JAGSTSTAFFEL 5 Specials with which the production of these decals was associated. One needn't regret the requirement for this investment because the are THE references for Js 5. They are as thouroughly researched as anything we have had heretofore and can be relied on.
BTW does anyone have the isbn number of volume 2? I badly want it and my bookstore can't find it.
Thanks,
Terry

Terry,
I just got an order in a couple of weeks ago from Dr. Merrill, and he told me the Jasta 5 decals weren't ready yet, so you must have some of the first ones! I have to order some now! I have to figure out the set numbers and cost though. Which set(s) did you get?? 1/72nd or 1/48th??

Warren

By the bye, Terry, how much did that decal sheet cost you? Does it include decals for Dr Is?

Best regards,

Pete

Gentlemen,
I made that post just before I left the country. Now that the authorities have been mollified, Err, I mean the job is finished, I have returned to the sanctuary of my library. Whew!
In my haste to leave I misplaced my new price list but I think these sheets are $12.50 each. Try the website and see if new list is posted.
I got sheets #195 and 196 in 1/48 but will soon order the sheets in 1/72 as these combine the contents of their larger brothers.. I think that there are three Dr Is; 557/17 Rumey, 588/17? unk, and unk, Oppenhorst.
Best regards to all,
terry

1/72 Jasta 5 decals

Hi Peter
Are you able to post any more info on the 1/72 scale sheets? I think there are three but it would be handy to know roughly what was on each one.
Cheers

Gentlemen and Jamo,
Peter? You could not possibly be confusing me with Peter Leonard? He is much the better modeler but I am by far better looking. I'm sure we are both crushed. But not with each other.
With the recently missing current price sheet before me I can tell you that there are six sheets in 1/48; #s 195 and 196, 198 and 199, 201 and 202. Sheets 194, 197 and 200 are in 1/72 and apparently contain the content of the associated two larger versions. All are $12.50. There is no further information on the price sheet regarding content of each sheet and the information sheet that comes with the sheets is rudementary and assumes that you know what you are looking for. You need the books or the encyclopedic knowledge that a couple of our esteemed members have.
I'm off.
to work.
Best regards to all,
Terry

Just checked and the link is way behind in listing, IS it possible for you to post a pic of each of the decals ????
