WW1 profiles on Russian site

I found these profile on a Russian site. You might not be able to read it but it has lots of profiles. Take a look let us know what you think.

I was looking a the FI.102/17 and found that the stabilizer is the new modified style.

WW1 Profiles 1914 - 1918

Have Fun...

I wish I could read Russian! There are also some great photos on this site, many of them relating to the profiles.

I'm especially enjoying the early "fancy" version of the Morane-Saulnier N.

Hi Eric,

The second picture on that site is Capt. Roy Brown.

The first word of the caption means "Canadian" I think. The two italicised parts (by me) are the names "Capt. Roy Brown" and "Manfred von Richthofen" (look closely, you'll see it).

That's as far as my Russian will take me...

Kind regards,

Reinout

Lets be charitable and just say "various". There are some very familiar profiles there. I recognise the work of two forumites in particular.

Peter

Most of the ones that I have looked at have this on the bottom "Источник: фото" Not sure but I think this would be the artists name. If you have recognized others who are they...

That's just telling us it's based on a photo. I'd be very interested in any comments from Bob Pearson and others.

I don't know for sure and I wouldn't want to get anyones back up, but one or two do have a certain look about them. Others remind me of Michael Fletcher's work. Perhaps both were merely influential.
