Roser,
Cross & Cockade Vol. 23, No.4, 1992 has a photo of him and a brief bio. Victor Somerset Erskine Lindop is listed in the RFC Roll og Honour as being POW on 08 September 1914. 'The Sky Thier Battlefield' by Henshaw has Lindop as being taken prisoner on 07th September 1914 flying BE2a no.479. He was in No.3 Squadron, RFC. Regards Matt. |

Hi Roser,
Yes I forgot to mention that in TSTB Henshaw has noted "burnt near Signy by enemy?" The machine he was flying was a BE8 no.479 NOT a BE2.  Matt. |
