Evidence of Junkers J.I at McCook Field

I have recently discovered some evidence that a Junkers J.I was brought to McCook Field. Anyone know about this or could bring forth any Army documentation on the J.I? The evidence is a photograph taken around the 1923 of WWI aircraft stored in a hanger at McCook field and in the foreground is the fuselage of the J.I. There is also a Roland D.VIb in another picture that I have. I have noticed, in the J.I Datafile #39, a reference to a Technical Order published by the Engineering Division, AAS, Sept 1919.
Notice the additional German types. A real gold mine isn't it???

I checked the serial #'s list at http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/usafserials.html
the Junkers J-1 is not listed, most of the rest of the aircraft are. The only reference to Junkers is 64122/64123 Junkers Larsen JL-6
64122 had McCook Field Project Number P145. Salvaged Nov 5, 1923

The Larsen JL6 was an imported Junkers F13 airliner.

I'll pose the J.I question to the AF Museum researchers since that's were the photos came from.

I think one or more fairly early issues of Skyways had a fair amount of material on the JL6. The JL6 may also have been the subject of an NACA Aircraft Circular report in the '20's. Some material from the Aircraft Circular may be in the Skyways article.

Do you ever use the WPAFB Technical Library in looking for old documents. I used to pore through lots of old stuff there back in the early '90s when I spent a couple of years at the Lab. Found old WWI reports from Goettingen and the like.

Just a few thoughts. Hope they're helpful.

The aircraft listed misidentified. I will get back to you with what I think they are. The Ju.J.I is correct. I have list of German aircraft that were shipped to the U.S. I'll have to find that also.

Here is another picture that I think is looking at the opposite end of that same row of aircraft. I have the AF Museum's identification to most of these, but try to identify & post what you think they are and then later we'll compare notes? Anyone else's findings are welcome too
