What's the best Albatros D.V model?

Hello. I built the Hasegawa museum-quality tripe years ago. My favorite aircraft is the Albatros D.V. Can anyone recommend a model of really good quality? The Arizona Model Albatros looks really good, but its a bit too big for me. Is there a really good model more in the 1/6 or smaller size?

In 1/48, agreed! next would be Model Expo 1/16 kit. See JohnReid's. Though the 1/32 Hi-Tech kit is looking good. Just waiting to hear the thump at my door.

How about the Hasagawa kits......only 800USD.

See here Sqad MO has reduced the BA Fokker E III 1/32 to 40 USD. Anyone want to start a build ? Like their D VII ??????

Or some of the Gallow kits. I built the Nieport years ago and rigged it. Are these kits to scale? Are they accurate?

The judge.....

I am beginning to well know the Albatros DV, the best answer to this question, for me is following.
You take best available drawings, you increase or reduce it with Mr Computer or Mme Photocopier at right scale and you place your model on, easy.

About the Albatros DV, for me best available drawings are these provided by the book published by NASM : Famous aircraft of the National and Space Museum #4 "ALBATROS DVa, German Fighter of World War I.

But before to do this test, CAUTION: This would be a dangerous experience

1/16th Albatros

I agree with Stephen. However the Model Expo kit requires some modifiction and scratchbuilding to bring it up to a reasonable quality.I would say that it would be no problem for anyone who has already built a Hasegawa museum quality model but dont expect the same out of the box quality .As a free standing ,up close, display model you must be willing to make some improvments to the kit.It is a great kit for diorama work where overall visual impact is the most important consideration.Cheers! John.

In 72nd scale I like the Roden one over the Eduard one. Rodent one has much finer engraved panel lines. Eduard's are too deep for my liking.
