Building Mania
I've been in a building mood lately. I the last 3 weeks I've build a Nieuport 11, and a 16. I am still working on a Eduard Roland C-II. I have really enjoyed the Roland, it's a fun kit to build.
I started a Rodan Albatros D-1, but the parts are jest to small for my aged eye. I wish someone would make a D-1 in 1/48 scale.

Hey Richard - bravo!
Ed makes a D.II in '48.
Pretty nice kit.
I like that Roland C.II, also.
The Noops ain't bad either.

Barker;
Yes, I really like the D.II myself. I justr feel that I am missing the missing link without the D.I.

I know that there was a Passchendale conv. set in previous years for the D.I conversion. Maybe Rosemont Hobbies or Sopwith Hobbies.

I believe the Passchendaele conversion was for torturing the Eduard D.III to a D.II. I took it the next step and converted the conversion set to the D.I....see:

BTW, big cheese of Passchendaele Resin, John Cyg and his wife visited last weekend...great dinner, good beer, good company!

I remember this build, Robert.
Was just getting back into all this after decades of not doing anything and found IM and this place and all you guys.
I jumped that conversion that Passchendaele Resin put out.
Never seen resin handled so beautifully...
..how to say this:
Believe it or not, you two (and the rest of you if you're reading), the rest of us out here read these things and study on them and see if we can't catch on.
a bit of practice...
It's good to read that article again.
(I'll never be that good...)

Thankee kindley sir! Yeah- that resin set had the alltime greatest individual pieces ever molded- those ear radiators!
And- sure you'll be that good. It's been said before- it's mostly patience and tedium!

Yep- and thanks...I've got to stop reading and answering late at night!
Alot of times, the process is what drives me- I enjoy the building but interest drops off afterward..... but then there are those models I genuinely kinda like having around after I finish them. That D.I does still grab my eye from time to time. I see things I might haver done differently, or better, but for some reason, this one worked overall.
