At least one source credits Oswald Boelcke with his 20st-26th kills while flying a Fokker D.II, yet this is about the same time that Jasta 2 began patrols in Albatros D.III's (or II's?). My question is:
Did Boelcke fly Fokker D.II's while Jasta 2 was forming and then convert to an Albatros with the rest of the formation? If so, why? Or did some other type transition occur?
Thanks,
Chris
