Blue Max kits

Does anybody know about the marketing of Blue Max kits? They say "limited edition", but does that mean no more, the mould is broken? Or do they make the 1500, change moulds, and so on down their list, then start the process over? thanks

They make 1500, in the case of the "Silver Wings" series it may be 1000, and that's it. The system Chris Gannon uses won't allow much more than that. It does not necessarily follow that a lower certificate number identifies a kit from early in the run.

You will see a lot of traffic expressing concerns about something called "wing ripple", but none of the BM kits I have suffer from it (touch wood). They are not the easiest builds in the world, but I still think the BM Camel is superior to the recent Eduard release.

There, there PeterL don't get your knickers in a twist. Come sit by the fire old friend and I'll get your shawl. Here's a nice Irish Coffee with whipped cream...

(He's a bit dillusional these days. since he put all of the Eduard kit ailerons and wings into one build. He calls it his "Sopwith Tripetie" Its best not to bring up the Blue Max kit....SSShhh there there Pete old friend, have another sip. No don't worry I won't even bring up the fact that Blue Max only molded a cranlkcase to hold 7 of the 9 needed cylinders. There there...
