Micro Set/ Micro Sol

Hey guys, how is everybody?

Just a coupla questions, the decals for my 1/32 camel (nearly finished by the way) are of a glossy finish, which seems quite common to academy decals, and I was just concerned, cause when you put water on the decal surface, it runs off (cause of the shiny surface). Will this effect the efficiency of the Micro Set/Sol solution, as I havent used it on these type decals before?

cobra427 It should not affect it adversely. Try a spare decal on a scrap piece of plastic. Remember not to distrub the decal after appication of the Sol. It may wrinkle a bit but let it dry without disrurbing the process.

And if it goes into a million pieces, don't use it.

Academy decals

I just built the Academy 1/32 Camel and found that the decals seemed largely unreactive to either microsol and microset, not sure why. They are thick and don't adhere well.

I use sol on all kit and aftermarket decals and haven't any problems, it just isn't good to touch the decal when it starts to wrinke because then it will tear up.
