Well, I finally found someone that "had been there, done that" and fixed the problems I had with my airbrush, a Badger simple action one.
So I finally got to paint something , huzzah! Trouble is, that when I finished, I took apart the airbrush to clean it, and placed the pieces inside a jar filled with nitrocellulose (universal paint remover ) now when I assembled the airbrush again , it doesn't expell air. I have took it apart and assembled again, all the pieces and conducts are so clean they shine, so it seems the air intake is clogged. For the record, I've tried removing the nozzle but even without it, no air flows.
I've checked the push button, the spring inside definitely works, and the airbrush needle goes correctly through the opening in the button shaft.
Compressor and hose work correctly, air comes out of the hose, but it stops at the air intake for some reason.
Does anybody have a clue of what's happening and how can I fix it? Only possibilities that I can think off is that while cleaning, some cotton strand wound up inside the intake and has fouled it, or that if it has a rubber joint inside, the solvent has dissoveld it and clogged.
Please help, I'm about to commit suicide by inserting the air hose inside my ear
