Thorsten,
don't have much on this one:
A Flight performed an offensive patrol at 7.15pm to Lens. FSL Harold Anderson Pailthorpe in Sopwith Triplane N5481 was shot down and killed at Faschoda (near Lens-Douai).
There was a combat report raised by another member of the Flight, FSL Thornely. Don't have a copy though, just made a note to look for when I get around to Naval 8!
Don't have much on Pailthorpe either, other than he was 29 (old man of the squadron), and he claimed an LVG spun in near Gavrelle on 7/5/17.
If you do a search on the Commonwealth War Grave Commission web site you'll find where his parents lived, and also either where he's buried or commemorated.
Sorry that I can't help more.
Mike
