Hi everyone,

Can anyone describe the bombing system used by the Caudron G.4? Were the bomb racks mounted on the wings or under the pilot's nacelle? What was the maximum bomb load? Was a bomb sight employed?

regards

From the Caudron G.4 Datafile #96 comes the statement:
" ..offered the ability to carry a 100kg (220lb.) bomb load." and "The specified bomb gear for RNAS G.4s was a quartet of heavy bomb carriers - for bombs of 65, 100 or 112lb weight." and "majority of G.4s featured the triangular transparent panel in the nacelle floor, but it is not known whether an internal bomb sight of any kind was fitted."
One good pic shows two bombs under the nacelle.
