Hi Chaps
I have just spotted this snippet from
Aeroplane Magazine.
"Raoul Lufbery, the USA's first air combat ace has been posthumously awarded the Purple Heart."
"He was awarded the medal for injuries suffered in his final combat on May 19,1918."
So why did it only take 86 years then?
Anyone else confirm this bit of news or shed more light on what has been happening to sanction this award in the intervening years?
Thanks!
