Mike, do you have any update on your book´s page count? Schiffer catalogue says "approx. 160 pages".

I didn't know they had announced this book yet.
I tried to locate the announcment on Shiffer's site - but couldn't find anything.

could you give me a link please?
TIA

Sorry, it is in their printed Fall 2004 catalogue. Their site isn´t the best possible. To be honest, several publishers have appalling websites.

Kosh,

194 pages not including the usual unnumbered stuff at the front and the back. Like Mark I didn't realise that any announcement was "in print".

The Schiffer website is not updated very often, if you look hard you will find books due out in their forthcoming 2002 catalogue!!!

So you have seen the final product, right? Foolish question: how do you like it!? It seems that Schiffer is getting pretty strong WW1 catalog by now!

Not quite the final product, unbound and printed on one side only. Nice quality paper, and the photographs and colour work is on very good quality paper.

To be as honest as possible, I was very impressed when I saw the final colour proofs, my editor, Bob Biondi, has done a super job on the layout, and Mark Miller's artwork is simply stunning. Some of the photographs are obviously a bit grotty but Schiffers have got the best out of them.

I have noticed a couple of very minor errors (my errors, not Schiffers), and I thought that at some stage I would "activate" my website and include an errata section to keep the book up to date with current information.

I should have said that the book is in what I think is called "Quarto" size, what we in the UK call American A4, so it's pretty big.

Hello Mike
Now that looks like a top book! Can't wait! I have an embarrassing gap in my collection where the RNAS information should be. This book will certainly fit there

The book has just appeared in the preview section of Schiffer's website:

There is also an incredibly interesting looking book from Norman Franks and Greg VanW. Check it out.

Mike,

Really looking forward to this one hitting the shelves. Can you give me any idea when us poor colonials are likely to get a look-in?
