Hi
I am interested to obtain more informatio regarding this German observer. His home regiment is noted as IR 174 and he was promoted to Hptm during the spring of 1916... Hptm Vissing arrived to FAA 213 in Flanders on 7 Aug 1918 for probably front line experience before "given" an own unit. Later, on 26 Aug 1918 he become temporary commander of this unit. And on 24 Oct 1918 he was posted to the German B Army Detachment for taking over FAA 282... Was his first name Heinz..? However, any added information or hints regarding this German flyer is welcome as I only have the information mentioned above...  Gunnar |
