Hi all,

I was wondering what became of the Flying Circus of which their red Dr.I was depicted on the cover of the Avalon Hill bookcase game "Richthofen's War"? As I recall they were out of Beelton, Virginia. Possibly Ken Hyde worked there for a while.

Anything?

Best,
Dave W.

They are still in Bealeton, Virginia which is not far from Washington, D.C. - it's out past Manassas. You can drive there or fly your own plane into Warrenton/Fauquier airfield and get a shuttle ride in.

They mostly have Stearmans including one of the 450HP monsters, but they also have a Waco, a Fleet, a Ryan, a Cub and some kind of a reproduction Fokker Eindecker. It is a small operation but its a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon, especially if you buy an acrobatic flight in a Stearman or the Fleet before or after the show. What a hoot.

Thanks Jim, much appreciated.

The web link is great, the place looks like it's alive and well.

I always wanted to go there as a kid, but never got the chance.

Best,
Dave W.
