Good evening
Recently a friend has found in france near front line WW1 ( on German's back) a strange drum, certainly for Lewis Machine Gun .... Problèm, the ammos inside are 7.92 x 57 Germans !!! Who know something about german use for lewis in 7.92 ? So, perhaps its for a ground version, and i don't think it's a Gebauer drum relic ... Cheers, dan |

This came up on another thread recently - it seems that the Germans modified captured Lewis guns to fire 7.92x57.
