Can anyone tell me the exact procedure that was necessary to arrange for an American pilot to transfer from one squadron to another, and whose authority was necessary for it to occur? I assume it had to be approved by both squadron CO's? Did group command or Air Service HQ have anything to do with it? Was there a standard procedure that had to be followed, and if so, what was it?

Thanks!

Does this mean you're onto the transfer of one Frank Luke to the 94th? Or you've uncovered new data?

I can't remember if you told me/us here or not that Cap'n Eddie had indeed affected the transfer prior to Luke's death...or am I hallucinating again?
