Berlin (?) Silversmith to MVR

What's known (If anything!) of the Silversmith who produced the silver cups/trophies for MVR? Indeed do we know his name and location even?

There was a thread about these cups that went on for some time in 2003, but since the aerodrome has moved its tents to another field, so to speak, I can't find the archived threads from last year. I seem to remember that somebody came to a conclusion about who the probably jeweler was, but I'm not certain.

Well this is probably old news. Pardon me if it is, as I am new here. Don't know the jewelers name, but it's commonly reported that manfred ordered his cup to celebrate his 1st victory, when actually Boelke awarded it to him & other pilots in his group after scoring their 1st victory. Manfred picked up on the idea, & ran it til his 60th victory & was told by the jeweler that he would have to make them out of tin as there was no more silver. Manfred decided to call it a day with it. It is usually reported that he "had" to stop as there was no silver, when actually he chose to. He was probably tired of it.
