I was just in the local Mall browsing the new 2004 calenders. Found a nice Aviation Art version. BUT, the cover had Richthofen flying in an all red FI.102 along with Voss in his streaked camo FI.103 and fighting Brown in his Camel
Needless to say I didn't buy it.

I think I saw that one. You need to flip it over as there is a box of free Crayola Crayons that comes with that one

Cliff:
this is the perpetuation of an error in photo interpretation. Fok.F.I 102/17 never was changed in paint and markings it had on the day it left the Fokker factory until it crashed on 15 September 1917, killing Oblt. Kurt Wolff. a photo of the crashed machine was recently posted on the net.

According to the book, No Parachute, 46 Sq. encountered this triplane 2-3 times, and it was red. Anyone have the combat reports?

Wasn't 'No Parachute' ghost written for Mr. Gould-Lee?

But don't worry folks all our questions will soon be laid to rest in the new up coming book from Tongue-N-Cheek publishing ' I been chatting with the Red Baron by Rokchen Dedbottom' Seems he developed a clairvoyant contact with MvR and has been getting regular feed back from beyond through the modern incarnation Ms. Dee Rittmeister. The great fortune is that we now can know everything we always wondered about. The great modern historian Rokchen Dedbottom delves into the psychi of the former ace as he answers Herrn Debottom's plethora of questions. Low and behold Voss' cowling wasn't yellow or green. It was actually chromate yellow and black in a tartan pattern. The poor reproductive qualities of the orthochromatic film can now be dissen-regarded. Oh hap hap happy days!!!! This book should be in everyone's library. An absolute must to the zerious rezearcher!!!! Zend for your copy today!!!!

No Parachute, and his other books, were not ghost written for Gould Lee, who was a very erudite and educated man. As an Air Vice Marshal he was perfectly capable of writing his own stuff.

I understand that book will be discussed on Jerry Springer. Ms. Dee Rittmeister comes storming out onto the stage in the previews. She throws chairs at the historians and authors claiming she was quoted all wrong in the book and did not recieve payment. She then flashed the audience.........I hate it when that happens.

The last I saw in the in National Journal Inquirer was that MvR was sighted in a MacDonald's wearing beard and glasses eating breakfast with Elvis. They were both eating red eggs and wearing red shirts. It could have been just the Ketchup staining both eggs and cloth. It depends on the cotten content of their shirts. Then again it could have been the lighting. On the otherhand I forgot to take my black n white sunglasses off when I entered the room.

(nice to see a little humor injected into this board on occassion. It makes it an informative but also fun board)

There seems to be some problem with the "cookies" that the website installs on a user's computer. I tend to log on from whichever of our multitude of PCs my wife and kids are not monopolising (which usually means my laptop in the kitchen) and the new website seems to object to me logging in from different computers.

Another reason that the site doesn't keep you logged in might be if you have set your internet security up to reject cookies.

hope that helps

Hey Alex Revell! I'm sure you would know more about Mr. Gould-Lee than I. When was No Parachute written?
