Does anyone know what the D.P.D. in "D.P.D. Ferry Pilot" stood for?

Mike; What service used these initials? Was it RFC, RNAS, or RAF?
What time period? We might be able to narrow it down. I thought, maybe, Delivery Pool......... Dover Pool.. Depot-Pool-Depot... i:e, not allowed to deliver over the channel to Dunkirk, St Omer, etc. but could run a kite from Cranwell to Dover or something. (No help at all, of course, but a reply at least.) |

Hi Neville,
Date was early April 1918, so it was an RAF job. The pilot had previously been with the Air Department of the Admiralty, so presumably was a test pilot during the last days of the RNAS. Mike |
