Greetings -

Does anyone know where I could get a copy (photographic - not xerox) of the 2 group photographs in the Boal Report ? The are two group shots of American pilots/observers in French service. One contains two NJ natives, Lt. Harry Craig (listed as Ohio in the caption, but from Newfoundland, NJ) who was KIA and Norman Becker of Newark.

The photos appear on about page 43/44.

Any hints/clues/tips/directions would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Holidays,
Mike

Guess that would have been helpful to put up up-front! The Boal report was a compilation of the activities of USAS fliers who served with the French and British. It contains reports on the fomation of the Lafayette Escadrille, activities of Americans with the IAF, French Escadrilles, British squadrons, etc. I beleive it is part of the Gorrell reports, but could be wrong here. I have a photocopied version that does not state it's origin. "Boal" was Captain P.L Boal.

The reports are almost devoid of photos, except of course, for the two I'm looking for !

Pretty eclectic, I know, but if anyone has a clue, they are likely to be tuned into this site.

Happy New Year, all -
Mike
