On a recent visit to my Grandparents, my Grandfather showed me a photo album from the first world war. It had belonged to my Grandmother's Sister-in-law's father, a Mister Skerit who I believe was an observer in 12th Squadron RAC/RAF. I do not know his rank but does any body have any information on this gentlemen and this squadron. The photo album has some impressive aerial photography, as well as RAC/RAF personnel and a few aircraft.
As your e-mail address is hidden, I must communicate this way. If he was an NCO records of his service will be on microfilm at the Public Record Office, Kew (London), in record group AIR 79. If he was an officer, the record group would be AIR 76. If he is a Canadian, there may be excepts from these records in Canada.
