Here is a small presentation of one of the best french fighter pilot the Sous Lieutenant René Dorme

With 23 comfirmed victory the pamares of René Dorme is respectable but not one of the best. that must be pondered by its large number of non comfirmed victory, up to 70 according to some source
according to the french army historic service he got 23 confirmed victory and 50 non comfirmed (most of them not clamed) but of whom 43 are sure (even if not confirmed so is official score is 23) the reason for such a high number of non comfirmed victory is double. first the cigogne was having a very tuff recognition system (even tuffer as a pilot with a non comfirmed kill have to offer the champagne to the squadron) the second reason is certainly the dorme did not care that much for his victory. the last time
dorme was seen alive was by an other Deulin (20 victory), he was flying above the line to reach a german patrol
born the 30 jan 94 he was when the war broke out marchale des logis (sergent) with the 7th artillery regimen, he requested to transfer to aviation on 6 may 15 he received his military pilot licens and was affected to the squadron C94
the unit was a part of paris fortifed field the unit fly caudron G4 and 3. not a lot happens, so with an other pilot Guiguet they decided to launch a raid the 30th of july soon after dawn they pick some heavy stone a machine gun and Guiguet with dorme as a bomber they take of for the german line that they cross 30 km from soison. he was then injuried in anight flying accident in january 16 but soon returned to combat and see his first combat the 13 macrh 16 having his first victory his first probable victory (citation the 10 april)
the 25th of june he was transfered to the N3 were he soon gained fame scoring his first confirmed victory the 9th of july. for that victory he was awarded the medail militair (his citation talk of the 3rd april victory) he was wouned in combat the 20 dec and was only back to the unit on march. on the 25 may he was killed. during his time at the front he had encounter the enemy about 120 time he get 50 probable victory and 43 certain victory of which 23 were comfirmed
before being killed he was the first pilot to take of with a spad XIII
He had the reputation to be a fantastic pilot (the best acording to Guynemer) and never have his plane touched by a bullet

here is a meaningless list of his official victory
