Would someone know if any dramatic film was produced concerning WW1 aviation before WINGS in 1927?
I know that Nungesser starred in a film (now lost) before 1927, but that its subject wasn't WW1 (it was an adventure serial in fact). I know that the 94th Aero made a "re-enactment" film for the home front in 1918 (I have some shots from this on video). But was there anything from Hollywood, Billancourt, or Neubabelsberg before 1927? Thanks in advance; I'm planning a lecture series here in NYC at Floyd Bennett Field (Gateway National Park), and any info would be of help. |
