100 and 110 HP Oberusels

Hey folks-
I have heard that the 100 and 110 HP Oberusel rotaries were overrated as far as HP goes. Is this a true and substantiated claim, and if so what are they really putting out, factory fresh, as far as HP goes. And also, was not the Oberusel rotary just a copy of the French Le Rhone? IF this is the case, would the HP rating be in SAE rather than DIN? Or did the French use metric HPmeasurement like the Germans? Okay thats enough questions to pack into one post. I appreciate any responses!

The 100Ps Oberursel U.I is a copy of the French 9 cylinder 100 hp Gnôme Delta.
The 110Ps Oberursel U.II is a copy of the 110 hp LeRhône 9J wit some minor modification to the crankcase face plate and the rocker arms. both the 100 ps and 110 ps engines were rated at 1200 rpm as were also their French counterparts.

The French use the metric (DIN) "HP" formula: "Chevaux Vapeur" is the term used. Regards..Lee

How does HP DIN and SAE vary ? Isn't HP HP ? Or is one more that the other ?
