Hi, I am a decendant of Werner Voss, a pilot during WWI. He was my great, great grandmother's (Emma Voss) brother. I really do not know much about WWI, and I would like to learn more, especially about my great, great uncle. I have been working on a geneology project for my family. Any information that anyone could provide would be greatly apreciated. Thank You!!

You wouldn't happen to know the color of the cowling on his Fokker Triplane, would you? <g,d,r>

Some great information can be found at:

Paris--there's been a lot of questions asking if Werner Voss was Jewish. What do you think?

Sorry Paris, the cowl thing was an inside joke. There's been a raging controversy for years as to the color of the cowl of the Dr.I he last flew- in the film used at the time, several very different colors all appear the same on the black and white print. In this case, some thing the cowl was green, some yellow, some black, and some light brown.

Yes, we do actually argue about such things

Hello Paris,
If you go back a bit to the discussion on 03 june you will find a subject topic on Werner
Voss's FI 103/17. Alex Revell tells of a new book coming about your famous relative.

Sincerley,
