I'm starting an honors report on the German air force during WWI and I'm running into trouble finding the exact name for the air wing during the war. (ex. Luftwaffe) Any help you can give or materials you can direct me towards would be greatly appreciated. - Thanks, Craig

Craig Mast:
Up to October 1916 the German flying force was called the the "FLIEGERTRUPPE"
on 8 October 1916 the Fliegertruppe was reorganized completely and became the
LUFTSTREITKRÄFTE and continued until that designation until it ceased to exist on 8 May 1920.
