Hello all of you.
I'm preparing an article on the Independent Force, Royal Air Force, and am looking for any type of information, but especially squadrons' records, about the following units at the periods indicated:

45 Squadron (May 9 - November 21, 1918)
55 Squadron (October 10, 1917 - November 16, 1918)
99 Squadron (May 3 - November 16, 1918)
100 Squadron (October 5, 1917 - November 25, 1918)
104 Squadron (May 20 - November 20, 1918)
115 Squadron (September 1 - November 1, 1918)
215 Squadron (May 9 - November 21, 1918)
216 Squadron (May 9 - September 28, 1918)
217 Squadron (May 9 - September 12, 1918)

I thank you all very much in advance for your help.
Eric MANSUY, France.

Eric Mansuy:
I would highly recommend you read the official RFC/RAF history "WAR In The Air", Vol.VI, Chapter III, The Independent Bombing Force. Matter of Policy, pp101 - 107 and chapter IV, Operations of the Independent Force 1917-18, pp118-174. Also the Appendix to Volume VI, numerous appendices. Appendix XIII lists ALL the industrial targets that were bombed, this is a very important document. It includesall the squadrons, number of airplanes and remarks. Appendix V is a copy of a memorandum on the bombing of Germany. Volume VI and it's Appendix of "WAR in the Air"is a must for any serious for any study of the I.F.
Blue skies,
