Hello, Friends,
I have 43 names for FA(A) 262, among them a Ltn. May, observer. Gunnar, you remember that long ago we talked about him. I have three nice photos of three different airplanes with Uffz./Vzfw. Egon Fath as pilot (later chief pilot of Dornier) and his observer Ltn. May. Airplane "Halbe Protion" is a Halberstadt CL.II, "Lenchen" a LVG C.V and "Alice" a DFW C.V (shown in Windsock Datafile 53, page 10, # 37). I would love to find Fath's unit to place my new photo with the half portion and the old ones from Peter Grosz in the right unit. Greg VanW. believes that the airplanes, showing late 1918 crosses, were from a Fliegerabteilung, possibly (A), and not from a Schlachtstaffel which flew other types at that time. I wonder whether we could palce May in the FA(A) 262 and also Fath. My photos show their faces very well.
I would be glad to send you *copies of the photos and of our roster, would have to retype the latter to send by E-mail.
Greetings, Dieter
