For what it's worth, my list of 10,929 claims for the RFC/RNAS/RAF, AFC and the two USAS units attached to the RAF breaks down as 4,406 aircraft destroyed, 193 captured, 5,197 out of control, 376 forced to land, 380 driven down and 377 balloons.
