This is Albatros D.Va of Jasta 64w. Shot down by 2nd Lt. Alan Winslow of 94th Aero Squadron on 14 April 1918. The Pilot Uffz. Heinrich Simon was wounded and was made PoW.

Point of detail - First brought down by an American flying in an American Squadron.

Americans in the RFC/RAF and Service Aeronautique scored earlier obviously.

First USAS victory by an American in the USAS is acknowledged to be 5 February 1918 - Stephen Thompson, attached to a French unit as an observer.
