Frank Luke Biography Published!

Published in July, to little fanfare on The Aerodrome, a new biography of Frank Luke has appeared.

Frank Luke, Jr.
Marilyn Myrick Watson
Acacia Publishing, Inc (Phoenix, AZ)
ISBN-13: 978-0-9790526-3-4
ISBN-10: 0-9790826-3-3
Acacia Biography Series
State Greats: Arizona

There seems to be a little confusion about the title. On the cover it states "Frank Luke, Jr.". On the title page it states "Frank Luke, Jr./World War I Flying Ace". And on the copyright page it states "Frank Luke, the Arizona balloon buster".

Eight photographs, with a very nice formal portrait on the cover. A nice introduction to the subject, with a glossary and a bibliography.

Hmmm, I think I have left something out ...

Oh, yes.

28 pages. And the copyright page does identify it as "Juvenile literature." But in any case, Stephen and Blaine,

Ya been scooped!

Frank.

Scooped? No such thing...

Wow.

I think it says a great deal that there is so much interest in Frank. Stephen's work is welcomed to the community of readers, as I hope mine is (and this new children's book).

The recent resurgence of interest in the Frank Luke story, any aspect of it, is refreshing. I noted when Cruise of the Sea Eagle released that people in the US were just starting to embrace this chapter of our history.

Whipped by a third-grade book.

Heaven help us if this thing has a new photo or something. Blaine and I will spend the rest of our lives living it down.
