What do cadetts do? is it owt to do with the army cause my bro's girlfreind is a cadett what are they is what i wanna know

Hi Missy,
(Or should I say Ay up, lass?) A cadet is someone who is training to be a soldier, sailor or flier. When I was at school I was in the local Air Training Corps which is a group of RAF cadets. Sadly I became a lawyer instead which has nowt to do with flying ;-( Vigilant

A cad is a VERY old-fashioned word for a someone who looks like a gentleman but who actually lies and cheats. (Warch any Terry Thomas film and you will get the idea.) Mike, Well, you had to find out sometime! Vig

A cad is a man with low moral values. A bounder, a scalawag. Sort of a 19th century version of Bill Clinton.
