Any High Res photos of Voss's Fokker F.1 103/17 available?
Evening all.
Been researching the past month on Voss's Fokker F.1 103/17. I have not been able to locate any real nice high resolution photos anywhere. The max res seems to be around 1000 x 1000 pixels. So, zooming in to look at detail, is fortuitous. Books are even to no avail.
As an introduction, my name is Benjamin. Been a lurker on this site for a while, and signed up sometime back. I check in, most every day.
I've just got back into the fray of Great War aviation. I was really into it about 20 years ago when I was in highschool. Built alot of models, some 1 inch scale from scratch. Read everything I could find in the library and my college library when I was there.
Been in a hiatus since then, but delving back in after a purchase of several Wingnut Wings kits this past winter.
I'm sort of an amateur historian (avid reader mainly) and model maker (it's partly what I do as a job at the museum I work at). I like dioramas, so I came upon this idea of Voss's last flight. So it will have Voss, McCudden, and Rhys Davids in a dogfight scene. In 1/32 scale (I have the space but it will be compressed as you see in mainy paintings of this classic dogfight).
I've scoured the site on Voss's triplane colors and details. Now, I believe I have much pinned down, but I really would enjoy some high res photos to really get the little details down on 103/17. A few links I came across seem to be down now. 102/17 would be useful as well.
I plan on getting the OTF 2005 summer issue, as well, that has info on the F.1s.
Well, now that this is long, I'll cut myself off. Hoping to hear back from you all!
