Hi Gunnar & Rick,

Carl von Boehm-Bezing was born in Munich on 24 Aug 1891. He was promoted to Leutnant on his seventeenth birthday on 24 Aug 1908 when he served with Kgl.Preuß. Husaren-Regiment von Schill Nr.4. On 25 Feb 1915 he was promoted to Olt. I think that the war already ended when he became Rittmeister...

After the war he worked as a jounalist and joined again the Luftwaffe during WW2 which he ended as an Oberst. He died in Bonn on 17 Apr 1964.

He was a cousin ( this time a real cousin ) of General d.Kavallerie Diether von Boehm-Bezing.

BTW, Carl's older sister was married to Lt.d.R. Alex Jagenberg, observer with FA 23 Lb, who was KIA on 16 Aug 1918 over Noyon.
