The GOOD thing was I got used to checking for the system being used EARLY in life and have rarely had problems (except with Whitworth). I never trust the first measurements I take. With spacecraft you NEVER know what measurement system was used and you can't always trust the drawings.

The Volvo P1800 required all three sets, Imperial, Whitworth, and metric. Body was built by Jensen in England which is where the Whitworth need arose. not sure what needed Imperial.
To think that one of these has made it to close to 3 million miles.

One of my mates owns a Morgan and whenever he mentions problems with the electrics I mutter something along those lines. He becomes quite defensive and finds any number of other excuses for the problems.
I know better. I owned a Triumph once.

I has forgotten about that! I had a P1800 back in the late 60's. THis car was not to be confused with the 1800S which looked much the same, but was different

Hey, Speaking of Eindeckers - I'm currently developing a painting featuring a Fokker E.I and I've run into a bit of a roadblock. In order to create my perspective drawings I need to know the dimensions of the aircraft I am drawing. In this case, however, I have looked at several different sources - the Aerodrome, Windsock Datafiles, and even Squadron publications - and each gives different dimensions for the E.I (in fact, Windsock Datafile even seems to include 1 too many wing ribs on its E.I layout).
Does anyone out there have any reliable information regarding the Wingspan, length and height of the Fokker E.I?
(Man! Achim picked a heckuva time to close down shop!)

Hi Russ,
At the time of this writing, there are NO reliable sources on the E.I.
However, *ahem*, this will hopefully be addressed soon:
ALBATROS NEWS ...17 JULY | Ray Rimell's WW1 World
My first question would be "Which E.I are you illustrating?" There were several distinct variants.
