Brad,

I believe that the DV and DVa are also flat wrapped, just more panels! There was some discusion awhile back about the compound curvature of a single piece found in the area of tail, but I believe it is not that bad nor impssible to fabricate. Have some experience with soaking and forming ply LE's and some sheets took on some rather interesting puckers even before strapping them to the form!
One final note; the individual panels seen on Albatri fuselages are not usually divided on the station formers. A scarf joint ( the actual panel division) for the panels is aft of the station and unsupported for most of its length. This was, I believe, noted on the NASM DVa during restoration.
